Who Am I?
I’m a bloke who grew up in the western suburbs of Sydney last century.
I left school at 16, and got a job as a metal worker before deciding going deaf, getting hernia’s, and inhaling welding fumes all day wasn’t for me.
Suffice to say I don’t do that any more.
I started riding at the ripe old age of 24 on a Honda 750/4 K2 I bought for $200. It was a jig-saw puzzle and taught me much about maintenance and poor handling.
Since then I’ve owned several Kawasaki of varying capacities between 1000 and 1100. My current bike is a Suzuki Bandit 1250 which I’m thouroughly enjoying.
I enjoy a good laugh, a cold beer (or bourbon) and can inflict a healthy dose of sarcasm when the mood takes me.
I don’t mean anything by it… really, I don’t.
Why a blog?
Basically, someone dared me to do it. They probably thought I was illiterate or something.
That’s not true, the real reason is, they reckoned I come up with some profound musings at times. Some of it useful some of it crap, but usually entertaining.
The topic of choice for this blog is motorcycling and touring, but I may drift off into WTF?-land at times, so hang in there, I will improve over time.
Having said that, lemme state up front I’m not a Journo, my gramma is crap and my spellin’ is worse.
All hail the spell checker!
If you can live with all that, we’ll get along just fine.
