motorcycles, travel, friendship, respect… I may drift off into WTF-land at times so hang in there.

St Bernard’s.

G’day

I’ve mentioned previously that I really enjoy the ride up to, through and around the Mt. Tamborine area.

No mater which direction you come from, the ride is always enjoyable.

Manipulations.

G’day

I’ve had these photos sitting in a folder on my computer for the past month or so, and I’ve been puzzling about what to do with them.

More “Me” Time.

G’day

With all the visual, aural and digital noise around these days, it’s nice to be able to steal a few hours and find your centre.

Time With Those That Matter.

G’day

The Pillion is not feeling the best at the moment, she’s battling Larry Gitis and Tone Sillitis. I have no idea who these two blokes are, but they better lay off and stop knocking her around so much.

To her credit The Pillion is still strong enough to insist that I get out of the house and stop bothering her while she battles Larry and Tone, even suggesting I take Jaja out on the bike to get some father, son time in.

Griffin.

G’day

I haven’t given Bluey a tub in ages.  I could use all the usual excuses like: it rained, or, the sponge was just to heavy, or, I ran out of elbow grease.

The truth is though, I’ve just been lazy… and it rained.

Twisty Bits.

G’day

You know, I’m lucky to live in a suburb where there are a lot of motorcyclists who know how to ride and I mean ride well.

I’m also lucky to live in a part of the country where the sun shines 300 days a year and the roads beckon you to explore their corners and surrounding scenery.

Point Danger.

G’day

Last Saturday we headed down to the southern end of the Gold Coast.

We don’t often stop on the Goldie, preferring to explore the galleries, café’s and natural attractions in the hinterland instead. This time though, we decided to visit a place on the south-eastern most point of Queensland we hadn’t visited in over 10 years.

Kamarun Lookout.

G’day

About 26 km  (16 miles) along the Lamington National Park Road, just past the Mountview Alpaca Farm at Cainbable, there’s a turn off on your left called Kamarun Lookout Road which leads to a place called, wait for it, Kamarun Lookout.

Who’d thunk it?

The Stinson Rescue.

G’day

A couple of weeks ago Jaja joined me on a trip up to O’Reilly’s in the Lamington National Park. You can read about that visit here.

While we were up there we read a story on a monument about a rescue that took place in 1937 not far from the Guest House and I thought I’d share it with you.

Lamington National Park.

G’day

On Sunday, The Pillion had things she needed to attend to… and she didn’t need any hindrance from me, so with her blessing I decided to take Bluey out for a roll through the hills. Jaja was at a loose end and decided to join me two up, and together we headed south for the day.
