Lessons Learned.


Well, The Pillion and I returned home to Brisbane from our little junket to the Western Suburbs of Sydney (Penrith) at 16:30 on Sunday. In all, we covered 2259km (1403 mi), much of it was done on the weekend of the 8th & 9th then the 15th & 16th for the return trip.

Brownie Points


A couple of weeks ago I took the pillion away for a weekend of us time; No work, no kids, no worries. Yes it was a special occasion, and yes I wanted to win some brownie points.

I decided on a B&B* in a little town in Northern Rivers District of NSW*. The route I planned on taking, took us down to Nerang QLD*, through the Numinbah Valley along the Nerang-Murwillumbah Road, over the border to Murwillumbah NSW*, Uki, Nimbin and on to our destination.

Rosins Lookout


About 12 months ago, the family and I went for a drive out to Tamborine Mountain to explore the region and see what it has to offer. While we were there, we took the time to watch the hang-gliders.

As a throw away line I mentioned that I’d like to try that one day. The Pillion In A Million and JaJa took this on board and started saving their money, and on my last birthday I was presented with a gift voucher for a tandem flight with Paragliding Queensland.
