I dunno what it is about Australian history, but it really fascinates me.
I mean, Australia was colonised by the Poms back in the 1700’s; has had significant influence from the good ol’ US of A in the 1800’s, and in the mid 1900’s we became multicultural, accepting all and sundry from places like Italy, Greece, Poland… most of Europe really.
If I said I stopped and saw The Sow and Piglets, you’d probably think I was at a farm stay or something. Right?
Earlier this year I did just that while riding along the Great Ocean Road towards Port Campbell.
And what a sight it was.
You might remember a few months ago The Pillion and I had an epic adventure down Tasmania way.
No need to stress, I’m done flogging that horse. I would like to share some history and photos from another part of our trip though, one that took place on the mainland.
Due to technical difficulties with local Internet access, programming has been temporarily suspended.
The saying goes “All good things must come to an end” and so must our stay in Tasmania. (more…)
First off, I’d like to apologise for some double posts you may have been receiving in recent weeks.
As I alluded to in a previous post, I’ve bought myself a Tablety/ iPady thing for our trip away, and I’ve been learning how to drive it, using the last couple of posts as test beds.
One limitation that I’ve noticed was that if you use the App to draft the post and then schedule it, all is good. BUT! If you then make some quick mods on a computer or laptop and don’t sync the app with the new computer version, you end up with double posts.
This shouldn’t be a problem once we’re under way, because I wont have access to a computer. If it does happen again, please accept my apology in advance.
